Legal Internship or Externship

If you are currently a law student and are interested in putting your new legal skills to work, Healthy Gulf has positions for legal interns or externs. Our legal internship/externship positions are typically focused on reviewing permit applications for wetlands fills and pollution discharges, and then drafting Healthy Gulf's comments. These permits for new facilities and development are required under the Clean Water Act, and there is a public review process. We weigh in from the beginning on certain cases in order to influence the process and have standing in case a need for litigation arises.

Legal positions at Healthy Gulf may also include researching case law and drafting memos to provide background on a particular issue we're addressing, working with others to develop corporate accountability shareholder resolutions, making public comments at official hearings, and more.
