Cut Carbon 80% by 2050

We are proud to have worked with the Sierra Club, the Alliance for Affordable Energy, the Gulf Coast Fund of the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association and others to organize New Orleans' "STEP IT UP" rally.

Approximately 500 people  rallied on the levee in the lower 9th ward, demanding leadership to cut Global Warming emissions 80% by 2050 - the amount many scientists feel is needed to stabilize our climate without forcing everyone to abandon their commuities and live in floating biodomes.

As hurricane Katrina proved New Orleans to be one of America’s cities most at risk to climate change impacts, we were proud to lead off the STEP IT UP events nationwide.
